Que: EverEnviro has emerged as a key player in the CBG sector in India. Can you provide an overview of the company's portfolio and its focus within the bioCNG space?

Ans: EverEnviro has firmly established itself as leading compressed biogas (CBG/RNG) developer in the country. Currently EverEnviro is operating five CBG plants across Uttar Pradesh (UP), Punjab and Madhya Pradesh (MP) and we are in the process of executing approximately 20 compressed biogas (CBG) projects across strategic locations in the mentioned states, as well as in Delhi. Our Bio-CNG plant in Indore stands as India’s largest CBG facility, with a processing capacity of 550 metric tonnes per day, and capability to produce 17 TPD of biogas.

We are on a rapid stride to establish over 100 CBG plants across India based on diverse feedstock, including Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), Agro Waste, and Agro-Industrial Waste.

EverEnviro offers comprehensive solutions for the management of various waste streams, including urban municipal waste, agri waste, agri industrial waste, construction and demolition waste management and hazardous waste. The company is committed to employing cutting-edge technologies to optimize waste management processes and contribute to a sustainable future.

Que: EverEnviro has achieved significant milestones, including the commissioning of four CBG projects in FY 2023-24. Could you share some recent developments and future plans of the company in the CBG space?

Ans: Over the last five years, we have made significant strides to contribute to the proliferation of CBG blending in India. Currently, we have successfully commissioned five CBG projects in Indore, Dhuri, Patran, Khumbi, and Balarampur. These projects collectively boast a total capacity of producing approximately 60 Tons Per Day (TPD) of Bio-CNG. With processing facilities capable of handling approximately 963 metric tons of mixed solid waste (MSW), paddy, and press mud, we are making a significant impact on waste management and green energy production.

One of our standout achievements is the establishment and successful operation of India’s largest CBG plant in Indore. Utilizing 500-550 MT of Organic Fraction of Solid Waste (OFSW) per day, the plant is designed to produce 17 tons of CBG daily. Our vision is to attain a remarkable daily CBG output of 1000 metric tons on a PAN India scale within the next 4-5 years.

This expansion will be facilitated by the establishment of four new plants in Punjab, six in Uttar Pradesh, and one each in Bhopal and Okhla. We are in advanced stage of JVC formation with two major Maharatna OGMCs in India viz. Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. to set up multiple CBG Plants on pan India basis and in active discussion with Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) to set-up CBG Plants in Geographical Areas of IGL.

Que: The company is known for its custom-designed innovation and technologies for various projects. Can you elaborate on some of these innovations and how they contribute to the efficiency and sustainability of EverEnviro's operations?

Ans: At EverEnviro, our commitment to innovation drives our strategic partnerships and internal processes alike. Through our associate partner Thermax Bioenergy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (TBSPL) we have recently inked an MoU with European Sustainable Solutions ApS (EUSUSO-Denmark). TBSPL will help us integrate cutting-edge technologies for maximising the utilisation of organic materials in our biogas plants, leading to increased gas yield production.

Furthermore, our dedication to optimizing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness is led by our focus on custom material solutions. Drawing insights from our projects at the Indore plant, we meticulously select materials to maximize asset utilization, thereby reducing operating costs while advancing our sustainability objectives.

In addition to material innovations, we prioritize renewable energy integration and data analytics. By embracing these technologies, we actively contribute to sustainability goals, reinforcing our commitment to driving positive change through innovation and collaboration.

Que: Who are the expected off-takers?

Ans: The major off-takers are local City Gas Distribution (CGD) entities under CBG-CGD synchronization scheme, local CNG stations by cascade-based transportation and local industrial units.

In Indore, biogas is sold to the local CGD entity (Avantika Gas Limited) under CBG-CGD synchronization scheme, supplied to Indore Municipal Corporation to run city buses at local CNG stations by cascade-based transportation and to local industrial users (TATA International, L&T, HD Wire) thereby covering all the segments of the end users of the CNG (i.e., Domestic, transport, Industrial & Commercial).

This is also a testimony of the quality of the CBG produced at our plant (>96% methane content as against requirement of >90% methane content in national regulations – SATAT Scheme) These partnerships are crucial for maintaining a steady demand and distribution network.

Que: EverEnviro has established partnerships and collaborations with leading organizations in the energy sector. Could you elaborate on these partnerships and their significance in achieving the company's goals?

Ans: We have forged strategic partnerships with the government and private players to facilitate technology transfer, promote research and development, and strengthen the CBG offtake network.

Through our associate partner Thermax Bioenergy Solutions Pvt Ltd (TBSPL) we have recently inked an MoU with European Sustainable Solutions ApS (EUSUSO-Denmark). The partnership. The partnership will help us to integrate cutting-edge technologies for maximising the utilisation of organic materials in our biogas plants, leading to increased gas yield production.

We have established partnerships with prominent off-takers in the energy sector, including Indore Municipal Corporation, Avantika Gas Ltd, TATA, NGPL, HD WIRE, L&T, and Tata International. These partnerships are pivotal in securing a stable market for our Bio-CNG production, facilitating the distribution of renewable energy products, and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

We work closely with local, state, and national government bodies and urban local bodies (ULBs) to align our initiatives with regulatory frameworks and sustainability goals. These partnerships provide support in terms of policy guidance, incentives, and funding opportunities, facilitating the expansion of our renewable energy projects and initiatives. Further, we collaborate with academic institutions and research organizations to drive innovation and knowledge exchange in the energy sector.
