Market Now: Titan, Blue Star drag BSE Consumer Durables index down

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading a little lower by 0.05 per cent at 20,723 around 11 am (IST) on Thursday, with shares of Titan Company (down 0.99 per cent), Rajesh Exports (down 0.18 per cent) and Blue Star (down 0.16 per cent) as the losers.

However, shares of Nilkamal (up 2.81 per cent), PC Jeweller (up 2.76 per cent) and Bajaj Electricals (up 2.51 per cent) were trading up around that time.

Benchmark BSE Sensex was 37 points up at 33,599, while the NSE Nifty50 index was 14 points up at 10,356.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Infosys, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, Lupin, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation and Hero MotoCorp were among the top gainers in the Sensex index.

On the other hand, Dr Reddy's, Adani Ports, Asian paints, Kotak Mahindra Bank and NTPC were among the losers in the Sensex index.
